The Australian Water Polo Team has captured a big win over 2012 Olympic water polo champions Croatia in the Aquatic Super Series in Perth. Saturday's victory goes down as one of the most memorable in recent Australian water polo history. The countries last met at the 2013 World Championships in Spain where the Croatians came from behind in the last quarter to send the match into extra-time which they won. It was a heartbreaking finish for the Australians and they finished the tournament 8th, while Croatia won the bronze. That was after a 2 goal loss in last year's Super Series. On the weekend, a thrilling game was decided by heavy defence and a major penalty and the extra-man advantage on both sides of the pool.
